Warranty duct repair; upstairs-downstairs systems: - Retaped and sealed both supply plenums and return plenums. Had to completely re-do the return plenum for downstairs. Added support straps and re-transitioned to equipment. Everything has been sealed properly. No fee for today’s visit.
Completed quoted work; replaced torn 12” flex. Replaced mixing box feeding master bedroom and bath area. Upsized the flex going into master bedroom installed new box and grille. Register box has been sealed. New mixing box and flex connections have been sealed. Client paid balance in full using card on file.
Promo tune up Inspected the inside and ou side units. The system was tested in. Heat and cool modes. There is air flow blockage on the indoor coil and blower wheel. The filter needs to be changed more frequently to avoid this. The drain. Line was flushed and treated. The system produced a cool split of 15 and heat rise of 28. The ducting system is also over taken by microbial growth and deserves a duct cleaning. Outside unit was rinsed and treated . The condenser has a capacitor that is below tolerance and will eventually fail if not changed out. The home owner is not at home and unreachable at the Monet for presentation. Collected 65 for todays v. is it paid by Mother
-Found several issues with duct system. Found 12” flex feeding spiral duct work torn in the attic right where it attaches to spiral duct. Appears a rodent had gotten to it at some point in time. Also found that the duct feeding master bedroom is undersized. Currently a 6” but needs to be upsized to 8”. Found that one of the sidewall supply boxes in the living room is unattached to the grille. - Recommended replacing torn section of 12” duct. Also suggested decreasing the size of the mixing box feeding master bedroom area along with upsizing the flex and replacing supply box going into master bedroom. At the time of making these repairs, we will secure the sidewall box to the grille and reseal the closet where air handler is located. - Client did approve of quote. She mentioned her primary residence is in Houston and will travel down to make the time of the appointment. Monday, Thursdays, or Friday’s works best for her. Office will keep in contact and schedule appointment accordingly.
Customer inquired about whole house dehumidifier Trane/foamed attic/2.5ton/ 410a/odt74f I spoke with the home owner and he is gathering estimates for a whole house dehumidifier. After gathering information on the hvac system and expectation from the home owner i inspected the system as a whole. Inspection of the ductwork showed raised vents not seated properly to Sheetrock. One main truck line had fallen and smashed ( i did prop it back up) allowing conditioned air to escape. I checked air flow an refrigerant charge. The system has a static reading of .67 meaning we have 416cfm per ton as required however refrigerant charge shows to be low. The specs for situation calls for a refrigerant subcooling value of 8 and we are on at 1.0. Inspection of the ducting system shows first stages of microbial growth controllable by a uv system. I spoke with the home owner and we built a special enhanced option allowing special discounts approved by office. We also went over financing and different

He cleaned my outside unit and the coils and explained to me as he went along how to maintain it properly. I received a report of how everything is working and recommendations for the future to keep my units running properly. Excellent price for the work done and much better than other companies I called for bids. I’ll give AAA a AAA rating. Ask for Daitchoin. He is great.
